This year’s STEM Week Challenge will help students explore in-demand careers & build their networking skills. Student teams will be researching careers, connecting with professionals, and building a multi-media “pitch” about their selected career.

To make this challenge come to life for students, we need support from professionals like you! Support equity by being available to connect with student teams who might not have access to STEM professionals through their personal networks. Students need to connect with professionals directly to make their project successful – hear about their work, their stories, what they studied to get where they are, what makes their job compelling.

Sign up to be a Student Team Advisor. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Field inbound requests from student teams looking to connect with a professional. Work directly with student teams for a total of ~3 hours during September & October. You’ll work with up to 3-4 student groups. Advisors will engage with teams at mutually-agreeable times via email, phone, video, or in-person meeting.
  • 1-hour training webinar in September will help you learn more about the STEM Week Challenge, so you will feel confident and excited to connect with students.

Don’t forget to sign up to volunteer as a judge at the STEM Week Challenge in-person student showcase this fall!
