Student-Industry Connects Spring 2022

Submit student work today through the Student-Industry Connects page to participate in Student-Industry Connects Spring 2022!  Middle and high school Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs are invited to submit PLTW projects and problems online. All students who submit work will receive personalized, written feedback from industry professionals in STEM fields.  High school students will be able to submit directly and middle school teachers may submit on behalf of their students via an online portal. Plus, participating schools will have the chance for STEM professionals to visit their classrooms this Spring.

Here is what educators who participated in the Fall had to say about the impact of expert feedback from industry:

• Reinforces instruction. “I can talk to my students until I am blue in the face, but hearing it from someone who doesn’t know them and is in the workforce is more meaningful. All subjectivity is removed.”
• Motivates students. “With knowing an industry expert would be seeing their products, [students] put more effort than normal and became invested in the process rather than just finishing.”
• Deepens understanding. “The deeper understanding and real world context that experts in various science fields bring is invaluable.”
