PLTW Suggested Projects + Submission Checklist

Industry Student Connects

Gateway and High School PLTW students can submit work to receive authentic feedback from STEM professionals.

Check out the suggested PLTW projects and submission checklist below. Don’t see the project you have been working on? Any PLTW project that would benefit from industry expert feedback can be submitted.

STEM professionals from across MA are excited to share their expertise and experience! All submitted projects will receive feedback.

Submission Checklist

Each project submission should include the following four components.
  • 1. Project Description and Rubric

In order to provide helpful feedback on projects, industry professionals need to know what the project is and what the goals were. In a single PDF file, please share a brief description of the project and the rubric used to evaluate the project. You can copy materials directly from the PLTW curriculum or use ones that have been adapted for your class.  Make sure an industry professional would be able to explain what the project is, what the basic steps were to completing the project, and what students were expected to learn from completing the project.

  • 2. Project Artifacts

Please share your completed project materials! This includes all documentation related to the project that to be shared for feedback from industry professionals. This may include pictures, sketches, completed reflection sheets, etc. Submit all Project Artifacts in a combined, single PDF file. Avoid linking to outside programs (e.g., Google doc) if possible; otherwise, embed the links in the PDF and double check that they are accessible to all. See below for more details for suggested projects.

  • 3. Video Explanation [Optional]

If you can, upload a brief (1-2 minute) video of students explaining their project. This will help industry professionals put projects into context and provide the most relevant feedback and ideas!

  • 4. Additional Context [Optional]

If you want, you can write in additional context or information that will help industry professionals review the project and provide feedback. You may wish to reference the project materials to provide more information about the project or explain things that may not have been clear from the documents you submitted.
